Connecting body parts with BridgeTool
1.0
It is a very common problem with connecting two separate parts of one
object. Usually you should select 4 points and make a quad and so on.
It may take a lot of time if you have a complex model. In this example
I will show how to easy connect an arm to a body using BridgeTool.
Select edge points of one part with your favorite method.
You can use lasso tool - points order doesn't matter. Make a poly from selected
points. You will get an awful poly. |
Do the same thing on the other side. |
Change selection mode to 'polygons' and you will get those
new polys selected. I've cut and pasted them to new layer but you don't
need to do it. Flip polys to face each other. |
With one click you can get proper connection between selected polys using
BridgeTool :-)
BridgeTool will fix points order and make appropriate connections.
Easy and powerful!
If you didn't cut and paste your polys to new layer you would
get two parts connected and useless polys removed. There is no need to do
anything else. |
